Our Story

At ninePLY my goal is to craft beautiful furniture, cabinets, and built-ins that meet our clients’ needs and surpass their expectations by listening to their wants and needs and using my experience to bring their vision to life.

For as long as I can remember, I have loved creating, building, working with my hands, and seeing what can be accomplished within a hard day’s work. I moved to Oregon from New England in 1994 and have been here since. My wife and I feel fortunate to be raising our son here in Bend, where we moved in 2013 when we were drawn to the outdoor-centered, active lifestyle that this majestic city offers.

I have been a woodworker by hobby and trade and a General Contractor for more than 25 years.

My vision for ninePLY is to offer affordable, high-quality, solid-built wood and substrate products to our customers. The idea of ninePLY came about when after 15 years as a general contractor I decided my passion for designing and woodworking outweighed the passion for renovating homes. I wanted to take aspects of the renovation business, such as cabinetry, built-ins, and commercial build-outs, and focus on those.

I work mostly out of my wood shop here in Bend. When I’m not in the shop, I can usually be found spending time with my wife and son, camping, mountain biking, paddling, swimming, cross country skiing, or just relaxing together as a family.
